We are Belmalyn Rodríguez (Nicaraguan) and Paul Melman (Dutch) and we founded Casa Waslala in June 2006, inspired by our own pilgrim experiences on the Camino de Santiago. We offer you a family atmosphere respecting your privacy and rest.

You can find us on Calle Mayor 57 in the town of Belorado, which is located on the French Way to Santiago, 23 km from Santo Domingo de la Calzada. Our house was built in the 19th century.

From this year 2021 on we will have the B&B service; offering room and breakfast when you want it. Until 2020 we had 3 double/single rooms. But from this year on there are only 2. Each with its own bathroom.

Breakfast is complete, it is not standard, nor is it a buffet. We try to adapt it to the habbits of the country of origin of the pilgrim. The schedule is flexible (between 6:30 am and 8:30 am). We also may offer you a small, "starter" breakfast.

We can communicate in English, Spanish, German, Dutch and we have a basic knowledge of French. It is advisable to make a reservation through our email account casawaslala@gmail.com. You will always receive a quick response.

IMPORTANT: due to the effects of the COVID pandemic, it is possible that the central or regional government take measures that force us to close the B&B. In case you have made a reservation affected by these measures, you will be notified of its cancellation. You can call us to find out if our B&B is open, in case you want to stay a night in our Casa Waslala.
